"We have been blessed with four awesome biological children and we have loved watching them grow. There are children all over the world that do not have the love of a mother and father through no fault of their own, and for a long time it has been on our hearts to do something about it. We have been involved in different ways, from respite care for Foster families, to supporting local adoption ministries. However, we’ve felt that there is more that we can do to answer Jesus’ calling to care for the orphans and widows. We knew he was calling us towards adoption. Ultimately, this decision for us has been not a question of “Why should we adopt?”, but “How could we not adopt?” Adoption is not just for those people looking to grow their families, but a way to give children the family they might not otherwise get. Not Families that need kids, but for kids that need families.

God did not tell us exactly what to do. There were no big red signs going one way instead of another. I think that sometimes in life He just wants to let us make our own good choices. He wants us to love our journey. For us, every time we just jumped in and said “Yes” along this path towards Ghana and our child He immediately confirmed it with some special blessing. We know it will be more challenging than we can imagine, but Hope and Faith is being confident in the destination which God has promised."
